Here are a few things on my list but would love suggestions:
- In-N-Out Burger

Those are the main things I have right now.

Leave a comment with suggestions and I will share my FIRST experience in Vegas as it happens!

Food on a Stick and Fresh Produce

Started to already collect all of my fresh goodies like zucchini and arugula! Plus sipping on The Fix! I am rocking one of the new HI Class Clothing Tanks (soon available at www.HIClassClothing.com) with a new beach bag - "Aloha State of Mind" on the other side - rasta!
I love farmers' markets.  There is a great energy with a variety of vendors and shoppers. Since 2009, I have been going to the Kapiolani Community College (KCC) Saturday morning farmers' market.

I definitely have my go to foods that I look forward to but there are a lot of new food vendors that I am looking forward to trying.  My two favorite things to eat are served on a stick – sausage and corn.

When a Man Loves a Woman!

When a man loves a woman, he builds a magnificent building in memory of her! If there has ever to be any symbol of love, the Taj Mahal is it.  (Sorry to all the men out there, nothing will prove love quite like this!)

The second I arrived in Delhi, I started to feel overwhelmed with the history and culture (and smells) of India.  As a mixed up, I mean of mixed heritage (Canadian, Indian, Italian, French, Portuguese, and Scottish), going to India, seeing where my mom grew up was very exciting and helped me better understand all of her wonderful stories.

This was my brother's and my first trip to India.  We had to go see the Taj Mahal.  So from Delhi we took a van to Agra, a ride that was definitely intriguing with dancing bears and some close calls with other vehicles along the way.

Once we arrived at the Taj Mahal site, it was busy with people and vehicles.  The moment when I walked up to threshold (the main, southern gate), where I caught my first glimpse of the absolutely magnificent structure, everything went silent. I was mesmerized by its sheer beauty and size.  I had seen pictures, however, the scale of the white marble mausoleum was breath taking.

As if it wasn't enough to just be able to admire the Taj Mahal from afar, but to touch and feel the cold white marble transported me into a dream where this would be my palace!  Up close the workmanship was perfection.

Passport to Luxury

3/23/2014

Last night (March 21, 2014), I had the pleasure of attending an event, Passport to Luxury, at Ala Moana Center, hosted by Modern Luxury Magazine, along with several incredible sponsors.  This event was a great opportunity to experience the luxury shops and their products.

For a fashion loving attendee like myself, it was very tempting to touch and try everything I saw!  All attendees were given a passport that gave them access to small bites and a beverage at the various stores that participated.  My group of ladies and I wanted to go to all of the stores, but the intoxicating aroma of leather from wallets and purses, to the colors and memorizing height of the beautifully crafted heels and the sparkles of watches and accessories kept us in a few stores much longer than we anticipated.

First stop, Dior, where we were given champagne and macaroons!
We were gracefully invited into Dior, where we had the opportunity to roam through the store.  Servers all dressed in black presented us with champagne and macaroons. Not a bad way to start out our evening.  I do not think that there is anything better than white shelves that artfully display the finest items.

Next we made our way to Michael Kors. The colorful faces of their watches really caught my eye.  Their popular rose gold band is paired with an electric blue face, which is definitely an item that should be added to my accessories collection.  The staff was incredibly friendly and so were the guests.  A lovely lady approached me about my red blazer I was wearing.  She was shocked when I told her it was a great find from H&M in Singapore.  She also shared a wonderful tip with me about this antique button cover that she had at the top of her perfectly tailored white button down.  I wish I had taken a picture, now as I reflect on it.

We also visited Salvatore Ferragamo.  There was a great energy from the group of people as well as from the two ladies serving drinks.  Again, my collection of shoes could greatly benefit from a couple of these!  As I am part Italian, this luxury Italian brand speaks to me on many levels, levels that have a couple zero's behind it!

The expert in prints and the wrap dress, DVF - Diane Von Furstenberg was a must on the list of shops.  Tucked away near Neiman Marcus, the store has so much personality with the bold prints and colors of the clothing, I didn't want to leave! But when they finally pried me away from the window, I left feeling a little bit more inspired.
The pièce de résistance was when we walked into Jimmy Choo!  A girl's dream comes true when she puts on a pair of Jimmy Choos.  My feet are still thanking me for bringing them in such close proximity with the revered shoe that some women can't live without!  Talk about a work of art.  Look at these beauties I was wearing - the Red and Navy Woven Fabric and Patent Pointy Toe Pumps!

Thank you to these wonderful people who helped me stage this shot! @uras300 and Eriko! We definitely had a lot of fun.
The night was fantastic and there were many other great moments.  I love fashion because it can create, change or enhance my mood, while also allowing me to transform from graduate student to PR professional with many looks in between!  Hope everyone who attended also left feeling a little more inspired!

Best,

MJ
